The past few days have been so full of joy!

Not because of outward circumstances but based on the change that has been happening to my soul. I am discovering new things each and every day.

If we were sitting across from each other, at a local coffee shop, this is what I would tell you.

Go! Jump! Do the thing you’re most terrified of doing. Young brides have that hard conversation about the scars of your past in your heart. Soon to be college graduates, jump! Dive in so deep that you can’t see the surface of your doubts and fears. Give no room in your heart and mind to the thing that is holding you back. Don’t give your fear a megaphone, give it a big kick in the crotch and press on.

Your doubts and fears are legitimate for a time but I’m telling you, dear friend, you CANNOT mess up God’s plan for your life. All the heartache that will come, all the trials, they will be a part of your story. You will climb mountains and you will sink in quicksands. You will. Things are going to happen whether you prepare for them or not. But I guarantee you, they will hurt more if you are standing still. They will shame you and pull you down if you just sit there.

Don’t pitch a tent in the name of fear and call it progress. 

If you are running after the King of the Universe, then you cannot. mess. up. You cannot fail. You cannot ruin your life. You cannot waste your life if you’re following him with your whole heart. You cannot mess it up.

He is still on the throne.
He will never leave you.
He will never fall off of his throne. 

You, my dear, are not powerful enough to mess up his plans.
You are not stronger than him. You’re not as wise. You only see a little bit, he sees the whole picture.
He’s already sitting on the front porch with you, watching your grandchildren jumping in the rain puddles, screaming from sheer delight with each splash.
You will never mess up his plans for your life. 

So go!
Seek him, seek his clarity and wisdom as you take your next and faithful step.
Say yes to the relationship, one that might be filled with imperfections. You just might catch a glimpse what the true meaning of grace is.
Say yes to traveling overseas, you will see just how big and small our world really is.
Say yes to adventure when it knocks on your door, and say no to temptation when it comes like a thief in the night. Bolt that door as tightly as you can.
Yes to joy, no to fear.

Find your confidence in Him. Allow him to be your lighthouse when you’re in the middle of the widest ocean.

You are not loved because of anything you did, you are loved because he loves you.
You are not beautiful because of your makeup or outfit, you are beautiful because he calls you so.
You are not redeemed by anything you did or will do, you are redeemed because he says so.

Go girl, go.
Dwell not on what you’re losing, dwell on what you’re gaining.
Kick fear in the shins, and press on.
