Real love only brings real change. It’s the ultimate motivator and ultimate motivation. If we aren’t motivated by love or doing something in love than the change we wish to accomplish will only be sadly, temporary.
Sure, the change might last for awhile, but not forever. The desire to please someone, the hope of changing the outcome or circumstance, the initial eagerness might propel us forward for awhile. It might prop us up for a little bit but it’s only short term.
Eventually love has to enter the room.
Not in a “You do this so I love you” 1+1=2 type equation. Not in a “I do this so I can get my desired outcome” way either. Manipulation has no place in truth life change. Or in love.
It has to be bigger than ourselves.
It has to be bigger than me.
In fact, in the very essence of love, in can’t be about me at all. Because love in its truest form is all about the other.
And if we leave God out of it, who is love, then we will be damned fools who will return to our vomit time and time again.
